Elderberry brings together young people (Berries) and older people (Elders) to help co-design alternative futures for an age of longevity.
We do this in three ways:
Our matching service introduces Berries to Elders offering mentoring or other specific services, such as book keeping, legal or advisory.
We are developing an online community platform where Elders and Berries can connect, share and learn from each other.
We help organisation hold on to talented mature age workers so they participate for longer and in meaningful ways.
Elderberry can be a game changer for Australia. It can drive change in how we do business and give us rewarding alternatives to retirement. The example and stories that come out of this will shift how we value older Australians and catalyse the creation of many more colourful alternatives giving people choice and agency over their lives.
We will provide a place where older Australians can bring to market their unique skills, expertise and wisdom to an audience who is seeking these. In doing this we will facilitate a change in how people value the contributions of older Australian in the business environment.
Our mission is to change the notion of retirement by igniting the national debate and providing a much needed entrepreneurial pathway for older Australians to work with agency, and on their terms.
We believe the participation of older Australians in meaningful work, will mean they are valued and enjoy better health, and social and economic outcomes.
